A Southern California native, Mrs. Brown graduated valedictorian from Boron High School. She then attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where she received a bachelors in Liberal Studies and a minor in English. After studying abroad in Spain, Mrs. Brown completed a multiple-subject teaching credential for grades PK through 8th and Freshman English. Mrs. Brown went on to complete a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Counseling and Guidance. Mrs. Brown taught in California for three years before moving to Athens, Ohio with her husband, David. Coach Brown's coaching experiences have added to Mrs. Brown's teaching experiences from state to state. In Ohio, Mrs. Brown taught 5th and 6th grade English Language Arts. It was also in Ohio that Coach and Mrs. Brown welcomed their two oldest sons, David III and Isaac. After four years in Ohio, the Brown family moved to Rolla, Missouri where Coach Brown was a head football coach, Mrs. Brown taught 8th and 9th grade English, and their third son Joshua was born. They spent three years in Missouri, moved back to California for a year, spent a year in Wyoming, and have now landed in Kingsville, Texas. Mrs. Brown is currently on her second year of teaching 5th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies. Her sons David (3rd grade), Isaac (1st grade), and Joshua (PreK-4) all attend SGISD.
