PARENT AND STUDENT SURVEY
The Texas Education Agency (TEA), has selected Academy High School to receive a comprehensive on-site review to evaluate the Methods of Administration (MOA) of civil rights related to CTE programs. TEA will visit for two days, beginning on October 22, reviewing documents, looking at the facility, and speaking with students, staff, and faculty. The intent is to assist the school district in meeting the civil rights requirements and to offer technical assistance to the district if and when corrective actions are needed.
Prior to the MOA visit, the district is required to administer an online survey to parents and students. Parents with an email address registered with the district will receive a link to the survey via email. In addition, an opportunity will be provided for parents to complete the survey on campus.
The online survey will be administered to students at the campus site. Parent consent is required for students to participate in the survey. Consent forms will be e-mailed to parents.
The surveys are voluntary, strictly confidential and will automatically submit to TEA. All surveys should be completed by August 31, 2018. Let campus administration know if there are any questions.
