established in 1917 the Santa Gertrudis Independent School District today for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade the district rank among the top 5% of districts in Texas with average math and reading proficient scores well above the state's Public School averages the elementary and junior high level and challenges in high school on the Texas A&M University show campus features the district's unique p-tech program providing students real-world work experience to internship along with opportunities to earn college credits do professional certificates extracurricular activities strong Athletic program development of lifelong values in our student-athletes and accomplished music and band programs are perennial standouts I'm very satisfied with my children's education from Santa Gertrudis Independent School District I may be because my children are able to participate in going well my classes and graduate college in three years Independent School District leaders
