Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

As we begin another school year at Santa Gertrudis School, I want to welcome each of you. It is a privilege to serve as your principal and to be part of a school with such a strong tradition of excellence, pride, and community.

Last year was one to remember. Our campus earned a TEA "A" rating and was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best Elementary and Middle Schools in Texas. Those accomplishments reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the support of our families. Every one of you played a part in our success.

This year's theme, "Honoring Our Legacy, Roaring Into the Future," reflects both where we've been and where we're headed. Santa Gertrudis School was founded to serve the children of the King Ranch, with values rooted in hard work, responsibility, and community. While our school has grown and now welcomes families from across the region, those values continue to guide us. We take pride in our history while preparing our students for the opportunities ahead.

The best part of my job is spending time with our students. Whether I'm visiting classrooms, watching a student master a difficult concept, cheering on the Lions at a game, listening to the band perform, or celebrating students at UIL competitions, I'm reminded every day of the talent and potential that fill our campus. Those experiences are what make our school special.

This year, we'll continue to challenge our students, support one another, and provide opportunities for every child to succeed. Our goal is simple... To help every student grow academically, build confidence, and develop the character needed for success beyond the classroom.

Thank you for your continued support and for trusting us with your children. I look forward to another outstanding year at Santa Gertrudis School.
